Valid Electric offers comprehensive commercial services and has completed a wide array of projects built with the trust, integrity, and standards that are the foundation of our business.

Incorporated in 1988, we started with commercial tenant and retail space fit outs. Since then, we have expanded our projects to include schools, assisted living centers, and performing arts centers, to name a few. Over the past 30+ years, we have quietly developed a solid reputation in our industry and performed on every project we have undertaken. James Humble

Since James Humble became an active part of Valid Electric in 2011, he has brought proficiency and skillfulness to every division of the business. James entered the electrical industry in 1996 and has accelerated to master electrician carrying several certifications. He prides himself on adding value for customers during preconstruction phases and enjoys seeing projects through to their successful completion. James’ vision for the company is to continue to grow its solid foundation in the metropolitan DC area and uphold the company’s reputation for success.

Larry Humble

In 1988 after having worked together for almost 10 years, friends Larry Humble and the late Dave Williams decided to start their own business. Together, they laid the foundation of trust and integrity that Valid Electric is built on. Starting with a few high school and night classes, Larry evolved from journeyman to a licensed master electrician. He holds a variety of certifications reflecting years of experience and industry knowledge. Larry prides his business on its ability to take on unique and ambitious projects.

Safety

At Valid Electric, safety is a core value. Since 1988, we have carefully adhered to requirements for job site safety including silica dust protection, fall protection, scaffolding safety, ladder safety, material handling, electrical safety, and more. We continue to adapt to and follow evolving safety requirements affecting the industry like our diligent implementation of protocols resulting from COVID-19. Our foremen are OSHA 30 certified and CPR trained. We have the experience and commitment to keep our workers safe and your projects on track.
